Wine Tasting-by-the-Sea at Friendship Center

July 9, 2010 from 4:30pm to 7pm

This alfresco gathering will be held at our lovely Center in Montecito, just steps from the beach. The event will give guests a chance to "Wine Down" from the cares of the week. Local wineries will be pouring their wines and hearty, delicious hors d'oeuvres will be served. There will be live, Peruvian folk music played by the duo Pasambara. Tell us about your company! (What do you do?): We are a non-profit adult day services program providing transportation, activities, meals, and care and supervision to elder and dependent adults in our community as well as providing respite, education and support to their caregivers.

What makes your company unique?: We are the only full service, non-profit adult day services program for elder and dependent adults on Santa Barbara County's South Coast.

What else might people want to know about your business?: We offer an alternative to placement in a care facility or home care (both of which are very costly, in Santa Barbara), with the additional benefit of providing activities and socialization, allowing our clients to remain in their homes for as long as possible and giving their family caregivers a break.
